One stylistic option of portrait and headshot photography is termed "environmental," meaning that it is shot outside of the studio in an environment accommodating to the subject's unique personality and accustomed lifestyle. The number of possible locations is limitless - whether it be one's home, place of work, intimate social setting, or idealized landscape - the goal is to instill within viewers a greater depth of understanding for the relationship the subject shares with his/her surrounding world. The right location will help to communicate one's interests, pursuits, sense of style and/or taste.
If interested in an environmental portrait, Brian will discuss with you the nature of information you hope to communicate and will work with you on identifying the perfect, matching location.
